Installations - Tina Stolt

Tina creates site specific environments. Her themes draw their dramatic content and spirit force from the 20th century European history. She has ventured personally into concentration camp sites and brought with her the overwhelming sense of horror and disbelief. These experiences can be traced to her Buchenwald series and other installations that deal with the passing of time and the finding of ones true self. This work is of importance in Germany where W.W.II history and present day artistic renaissance meet head to head. In facing this inevitable confrontation, this artist paves the way for a new groundwork for further cultural and spiritual development.
