"Sabine and Arnold" A Personal Memoir by John Fischer - 13’37”  RE-V 0104  © 2005

This family documentary short film distinguishes itself with a unique approach to animating historical photographs. The director’s background as a painter and pioneer of digital artwork propels the photos into life and expression as the emotional story of his parent’s life unfolds. This isn’t just a story about John Fischer’s family though, and he knows the universal themes that will find resonances for many people, The piano score was also composed and performed by John Fischer; and it drives the film as it builds to several unexpected climaxes.
